If TRT can lower sperm production, can it be used as birth control?
No. Reduced sperm production is not the same as reliable contraception. TRT can interfere with fertility, but you should not assume that pregnancy is impossible while using it. ASRM testosterone and fertility information.
There are two separate conversations: whether you may want biological children in the future, and how you and your partner plan to prevent pregnancy now. A testosterone prescription does not settle either question.
