Primary Care

We provide everyday Primary Care for adults and teens 13+—whether you need us once in a while or want MedFIT to be your regular Primary Care practice.

Primary care shouldn’t feel rushed. MedFIT offers cash-pay primary care for patients 13 and up — routine visits, sick visits, chronic disease management, and annual wellness care, with real time to talk through what’s actually going on.

Care that gets to know you

Healthcare works better when your provider understands more than the reason for today’s appointment. At MedFIT in Belmont, Valerie wants to know what changed, when it changed, what you’ve already tried and what you realistically want help with.

You can come for an occasional visit or make MedFIT your regular Primary Care practice. If you first found us through weight loss or hormone care, everyday health concerns belong in the conversation too.

If changing periods, hot flashes or sleep changes are part of your concerns, explore Women’s Hormone Care for menopause and perimenopause. Primary care can also help evaluate other explanations for how you are feeling.

Choose how you use MedFIT

An individual Primary Care visit is $99, with no membership required. The current introductory membership is $50/month plus $25 per visit. That monthly rate stays locked while you remain continuously enrolled and current; the future standard rate is $69/month. Labs and other separately priced services are additional. Membership is not insurance.

Bring your medicines and supplements list, recent lab results if you have them, and the questions you want to cover. Explore membership details or contact the team to arrange a visit.

Questions patients often ask

What can I come to MedFIT for?

Everyday Primary Care.

That includes sick visits, annual physicals, preventive care, medication management and help with common ongoing conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and thyroid concerns.

You can come to MedFIT for an occasional visit or make us your regular Primary Care practice.

If you need care outside MedFIT, we'll tell you and help coordinate the next step with the appropriate specialist.

How do I compare primary care membership with paying per visit?

Start with how often you expect to need care, then compare the total. MedFIT charges $99 per visit without membership, or $50/month (current introductory rate) plus $25 per visit with individual membership.

For example, four visits would cost $396 without membership, compared with $700 for twelve months of membership plus four visits at the current introductory $50/month rate. Twelve visits would cost $1,188 without membership, or $900 with twelve months of membership at the current introductory rate. These examples cover membership and visit charges only.

The $50/month rate is introductory. It will increase to $69/month once MedFIT reaches its initial membership enrollment goal. If you enroll now, you keep your $50/month rate for as long as your membership stays continuously active and payments stay current — this is not a fixed-term contract. Re-enrolling after a lapse or cancellation would be at the then-current rate.

Check what else you may need: lab costs depend on the tests, and weight-loss care is a separate service. Don't assume membership means unlimited visits or guaranteed appointment availability.

At MedFIT, membership is optional. Occasional visits may make more sense for some patients; regular care may make membership useful for others.

Can I use cash-pay primary care and still keep my insurance?

Yes. You can keep your insurance and use MedFIT for cash-pay primary care. MedFIT does not bill insurance; you pay the practice directly. Membership is not health insurance.

Compare actual prices before assuming insurance will cost less. With a high deductible, you may be responsible for the insurer's negotiated or allowed amount.

For illustration, a plan might allow $170 for a lab panel but pay none of it before you meet your deductible. MedFIT charges $75 for the specific commonly used panel discussed here—not every lab order. An insured visit might similarly leave you owing an allowed amount of $175, compared with MedFIT's $99 primary care visit.

Those insurance amounts are examples. Plans vary, and these are not predictions of your benefits. Compare the same visit or tests.

At MedFIT, you can receive occasional or regular primary care with or without insurance. Membership is optional.

Next: Compare MedFIT's price with your own expected cost for the same care.

What should I bring to a primary care visit so we can make the most of it?

Bring a list of your medicines and supplements, useful recent records and the questions you most want answered. If you've had labs in roughly the past six months, bring those results if you have them.

Helpful preparation

  • Include prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines and supplements.
  • Bring relevant specialist notes or recent test results you already have.
  • For a new concern, note when it started and what changed.
  • Put your most important concern at the top of your list.

At MedFIT, you do not need to diagnose yourself before coming in. These are helpful suggestions, not a mandatory paperwork checklist. Preparation should make care easier, not create another hurdle.

Next: Make a short list of your medicines and top questions.
