Medical Weight Loss

A personalized weight-loss plan built around your health, your goals, and your budget.

Starting at $99/mo

We help determine which options are medically appropriate. You decide which of those fits your life.

  • Oral medications and GLP-1 options. Injections aren’t the only path. Newer or more expensive doesn’t automatically mean better for you.
  • Oral-medication care starts at $99/month.
  • A plan for what comes next. What happens after the initial weight loss matters too.

We don’t sell treatments; we build plans

At MedFIT in Belmont, your first conversation is about you: what you’ve tried, what helped, what became difficult and what you want to change. Valerie reviews your history and explains the medically appropriate choices, including their costs and what living with each option involves.

You can start with a free weight-loss consultation and decide whether to proceed. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription or same-day medication dispensing.

Some of the choices

Every plan starts with a visit. We review your history, run labs when appropriate, and build a plan around your goals, your budget, and what you’re actually willing to sustain.

Oral medications

A major treatment path at MedFIT, commonly chosen — phentermine and other appetite-suppressant options, plus adjunct medications like topiramate, bupropion, naltrexone, and metformin when clinically appropriate. Oral medications are generally far less expensive than GLP-1 treatment, and finding the best medication or combination sometimes takes adjustment over the first month or two.

These medicines have different uses, risks and prescribing requirements. Some are used off-label for weight management, meaning that the use differs from the medicine’s FDA-approved labeling. Your treatment discussion should make that distinction clear.

The medicines, formulation and instructions in your plan depend on your evaluation; the list above is not a regimen to follow.

GLP-1 medications

Semaglutide and tirzepatide, prescribed and monitored by your provider, with prior-authorization assistance for prescription coverage where applicable. MedFIT services are cash-pay; medication coverage is a separate question through your pharmacy benefit.

Lipo+ injections

An injectable nutrient formulation used alongside a broader plan, not as a standalone fix.

B12 injections

B12 injections included with all of our plans for patients who qualify.

Lifestyle coaching

Ongoing support on nutrition and habits, because medication works better with a plan behind it.

Cost

Oral-medication care is $99/month. Medication and any needed labs are separate. GLP-1 treatment has different pricing for the specific treatment.

Support as your plan changes

Active weight-loss patients generally return about every 30 days. Follow-up is a chance to talk about appetite, progress, tolerability and what feels practical. A medication or dose change is not automatic.

Maintenance starts before treatment ends. We talk about decisions and routines while you’re losing weight so you’re better prepared for what comes next. Individual medical maintenance plans are available; the plan depends on your needs.

Your health doesn’t stop at the scale. MedFIT also offers Primary Care for everyday health concerns. Contact the team to talk about getting started.

If weight changes overlap with hot flashes, changing periods or disrupted sleep, menopause and perimenopause care can be part of the conversation. Hormone therapy is not a weight-loss treatment; these concerns may need different parts of your care plan.

Questions patients often ask

Do I have to take an injection?

No. You do not have to take an injection. MedFIT offers oral weight-loss medications as well as semaglutide and tirzepatide treatment pathways.

If you don’t want a GLP-1, say so. Your preferences matter just as much as the options themselves. We can explain what’s medically appropriate, what each choice involves and what it costs. Then we build the plan around the option you can actually see yourself doing.

How do weight-loss pills compare with injections?

Both are established treatment options. They differ in how you take them, cost, possible side effects and how you respond. The right comparison is between the specific options that are medically appropriate for you.

What matters most

  • How the instructions fit your routine.
  • The ongoing cost of care, medication and needed labs.
  • Whether side effects are manageable.
  • Whether treatment is helping and practical to continue.

At MedFIT, oral medications are a major treatment path, and many patients choose them. They can be effective and are generally much less expensive than GLP-1 treatment. Sometimes finding the best medication or combination takes adjustment over the first month or two.

We help determine which options are medically appropriate. You decide which of those fits your life.

Next: Think about which practical differences matter most to you before discussing the options.

How does MedFIT choose a treatment?

We review your health history, current medicines, previous weight-loss efforts and goals. We help determine which options are medically appropriate. You decide which of those fits your life. We explain each choice’s risks, benefits and cost so you can make that decision.

We don’t sell treatments; we build plans.

Your weight-management care is guided by Valerie Scheid, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C. The evaluation determines which treatments can be considered safely.

Useful questions for that conversation include:

  • What has been hardest to manage?
  • What helped before—and what made it difficult to continue?
  • What would you like treatment to help you do?
  • What can you realistically afford and maintain?

How do I get started?

MedFIT offers a free weight-loss consultation for intake and evaluation. You can discuss your situation, learn about your options and decide whether to proceed or return later.

Bring information about your current medicines, previous treatment and recent laboratory results if you have them. These help inform the discussion.

A consultation does not guarantee a prescription or same-day medication dispensing. If time passes before you return to begin care, another evaluation may be needed.

What should I compare when looking at weight-loss program prices?

Compare what you would actually pay to continue care, not just the headline price. Separate provider care, medication, labs and any other required charges. Check whether the price changes after the first month.

Useful questions

  • What does the care fee include?
  • Is medication included, and what would my prescription cost?
  • Are labs needed, and are they priced separately?
  • What could change the ongoing total?

At MedFIT, oral medications and GLP-1 treatment are both real treatment paths. Oral medications are commonly chosen and generally much less expensive.

Our oral-medication care is $99/month; medication and needed labs are separate. The useful comparison is the cost of a medically appropriate plan you can continue.

Next: Ask for care, medication and expected testing costs together before deciding.

What would phentermine treatment actually cost, including care and medication?

MedFIT’s oral-medication care is $99/month. Phentermine from the attached pharmacy is a separate $15 for a 30-day supply. That brings care plus that prescription to $114, before any needed labs or other prescribed medications.

The $15 covers 30 days of the amount Valerie prescribes; it does not mean a fixed tablet count. That price applies to the attached pharmacy.

Labs are charged separately only when needed—you may not need new bloodwork. The initial weight-loss consultation is free.

Next: At your consultation, ask us to confirm the total for the plan you’re considering.

Phentermine helped before. What if it isn’t helping as much now?

It’s time to reassess the treatment with your provider. Don’t increase the dose on your own. Be specific about what has changed and when it started.

“Not helping” can describe different experiences:

  • It never seemed to help.
  • It helped at first, and now hunger has returned.
  • Appetite is still lower, but weight has stopped changing.
  • You stopped the medicine, and hunger returned afterward.

Tell us which experience you’re having and when it changed. Returning hunger and a weight plateau are not automatically the same problem.

More detail: continuing or changing treatment

Continuing a medicine is a clinical decision. Progress, required visits, side effects, health changes and other medicines all matter. A plan can change or stop when it is no longer helping enough or a safety concern develops.

How should I prepare for maintenance before reaching my goal?

Maintenance starts before treatment ends. While you're losing weight, identify what you can keep doing and what support you may still need. Reaching your goal is a reason to review the plan, not assume medication must stop.

What matters most

  • Keep practical routines that work during ordinary and difficult weeks.
  • Discuss changes in hunger, weight, side effects or cost.
  • Make a follow-up plan before you feel you've lost control of your progress.

At MedFIT, we want you to keep the weight off, and we understand how hard that can be. That's why we discuss everyday decisions during weight loss, so you're better prepared later—including if medication eventually ends.

We also offer individualized medical maintenance plans. Medication and visit needs vary; there is no single schedule for everyone.

Next: Ask what your maintenance plan should include at your next follow-up.
