Could a prostate problem contribute to urinary leakage?

Yes. Prostate problems can contribute to urinary symptoms, including leakage or dribbling. That is one reason urinary symptoms in men should not automatically be treated as weak pelvic-floor muscles. NIDDK.

Mention changes in the urine stream, difficulty emptying, previous prostate treatment and when the leakage began. The pattern helps guide evaluation; it does not establish the cause by itself.
