Pelvic Floor Treatment
Could my pelvic-floor muscles be too tight rather than too weak?
Yes. Tight muscles or muscles that do not relax and coordinate properly can cause pelvic-floor symptoms. If that is the problem, adding more contractions may not be the right answer.
That is one reason MedFIT asks about the full symptom pattern before recommending the chair. Mention pain, difficulty emptying, bowel concerns and leakage—not only the symptom you think the chair might help.
MedFIT’s chair service does not include an internal examination or pelvic-floor physical therapy. Another evaluation may be more appropriate.
