Pelvic Floor Treatment
What should I write in a bladder diary before an appointment?
Record when and what you drink, bathroom trips, leakage and what was happening when it occurred. Note whether urgency came first. If your clinician asks for amounts, include those too. The aim is to reveal patterns, not create a perfect report. NIDDK diagnostic guidance.
This gives more useful context than “I go a lot” or “sometimes I leak.” It can help distinguish a problem tied to activity from one involving urgency, fluid timing or another factor.
Next: Ask whether a short diary would help before your visit; you do not need weeks of tracking to start the conversation.
