Women's Hormone Care
Can menopause affect sleep even when hot flashes are not my main complaint?
Yes. Sleep disruption can occur during the menopause transition even when obvious hot flashes are not your main concern. Trouble falling asleep, repeated waking or feeling unrefreshed still deserves attention. Menopause is one possible contributor, not the only explanation. NHS reference.
At MedFIT, we consider the sleep pattern alongside other symptoms, medicines and your overall health. Hormone treatment may help appropriate patients, particularly when menopause symptoms are disrupting sleep, but it is not a universal treatment for insomnia.
