Medical Weight Loss

How can I tell whether a weight-loss program provides ongoing care or mainly access to medication?

Look for a clear explanation of why the treatment fits you, how progress and side effects will be reviewed, and what happens if the plan becomes ineffective, unaffordable or difficult to continue.

Getting a prescription answers only part of the question. Good care should also help you understand what you are trying to improve and how you will judge whether treatment is helping.

MedFIT includes an in-person evaluation, scheduled follow-ups and access by phone, text or email between visits. That communication does not replace a visit when one is needed and is not telehealth.

At MedFIT, the provider identifies medically appropriate options, and you decide which fits your life. That includes oral medications, GLP-1 treatment and planning for maintenance.

Next: Ask, “How will we reassess this plan if my needs change?”
