Should an estrogen blocker or other add-on medicine automatically come with TRT?
No. Every additional medicine should have a clear reason to be in your plan. A standard bundle is not evidence that each item is necessary for you.
The useful questions are what problem the add-on is intended to address, what benefit is expected and what additional risks or monitoring it brings. Specialist guidance describes these medicines for particular clinical situations, not as a universal package for everyone taking testosterone. AUA/ASRM guidance.
MedFIT’s conservative approach is to evaluate the person rather than medicate simply to change numbers.
Next: Ask your prescriber to explain the purpose of every medication in the plan.
