Is TRT a weight-loss treatment?
TRT is not a weight-loss treatment. It is used when testosterone deficiency is appropriately diagnosed and treatment makes sense.
But when low testosterone is contributing to poor energy, sleep, reduced activity, or how someone generally feels, successful treatment can sometimes make it easier to live a more active lifestyle and support weight-loss efforts. That is an indirect benefit, not a promise that testosterone itself will make the scale go down.
At MedFIT, we separate the two questions: does testosterone treatment make sense for your symptoms and labs, and do you also need help managing your weight?
Next: Tell Valerie whether your main concern is how you feel, your weight, or both.
