If my blood sugar improves after weight loss, is my diabetes cured?
Improvement is valuable, but it does not automatically mean diabetes is cured. Some people with type 2 diabetes achieve remission; clinicians use that term because blood sugar can rise again and ongoing follow-up remains important. NIDDK.
A good result while taking medication may mean the treatment is working. It does not, by itself, tell you to stop it.
