Primary Care
Can my home blood-pressure readings help with a primary-care visit?
Yes. Home readings can show patterns that a single office measurement may miss. Bring your recorded readings with dates and times, along with your medication list.
You do not routinely need to bring the monitor itself. That can be useful if home and office readings are repeatedly very different, you question the device or cuff’s accuracy, or you want to compare it in person.
At MedFIT, the pattern helps put treatment decisions into context. Do not change medication based on an isolated reading without guidance.
Next: Bring your log and ask Valerie how she wants you to track readings going forward.
