If my blood pressure is normal on medication, does that mean I no longer need it?
A normal reading may mean the treatment is doing its job. It does not establish that the underlying tendency toward high blood pressure has gone away. Do not stop or change the medicine based on a few good readings. American Heart Association medication guidance.
Changes in weight, activity, other medicines or health can sometimes change what treatment is needed. That is a reason to review the plan with your provider.
